Masai Mara Safari from Kisumu

The western gate of the Mara is closer than most people think. We organise guided safaris from our retreat — day trips and multi-day options.

The western corridor

The quieter side of the Mara

Most Masai Mara visitors fly into Nairobi and drive south, missing the western corridor entirely. From Kisumu, the western edge of the ecosystem is reachable overland — and this part is quieter, less congested and often richer in wildlife during the migration season.

What we organise

Day safari from Kisumu

An early start, a full day in the reserve, and a return to the retreat.

Two- and three-day packages

With accommodation inside or near the Mara, planned around your dates.

Combined: Lake Victoria + Masai Mara

Pair the lake and the plains in one trip, with one team organising both.

Distances, drive times, accommodation and prices are confirmed when you book. Best time for the migration near the western corridor: July to October.

Why book through us

Because you're already here. You fly into Kisumu, arrive at the retreat, rest, paddle the lake, visit Kakamega — and then head into the Mara with a guide we know personally, not a random operator from a booking platform.

Plan your Masai Mara safari.

Tell us your dates and how long you'd like in the Mara, and we'll build the route.

Book direct · no platform fees · prices confirmed before any payment.
